soooo, we got up at a very early time...five something?or six something? nooo idea :)
and when we arrived at the place where the bbus would pick us up, we found out we were quite early, so we decided to stay in the car, the most logical thing to do, unlike some people who waited outside, but i reckon they got there by taxi so yeah.
anyway, the people in the car next to us were really really weird...
they kept staring at us!!!!!! and then i started doing my hair and put my beanie on and they just watched me! the whole time! like wthhh ! me and viv caleld them "inspectors"
wells, we got on the bus [asian tour company okay, the tour guides speak both canto and mando and they have a hilarious fobby accent, but not as awesome as my grandpa's of course] and turns out that some buses were late becuase they froze up or something, so we got driven to china town and had to wait for our bus. like freaking -7 degrees or something arghhh had to wait for 5-10 minutes.
oh wells, we got on the bus, nice and warm and listening to fobby accent talking and drove to AMERICA!!!!
when we got to the borderline, so cool when our tour guide said
"and pass these gates is AMERICA!"
took AGES to be allowed through, had to wait for more than 30 minutes. and then we got back on the bus and drove ;)
next stop was pennsylvania at the info centre which was a TOILET BREAK, picture break [okay that sounds REALLY fob but blah] and hot drink break!!! in our case viv spilt some mocha tsk tsk tsk.
took some photos...umm...those will be up later....on facebook
thenn back onto the bus, more snoozing and when i woke up we were in NEW JERSEY!!!
the snow was really really heavy, and the highway was terrible. you couldn't even see the roads - it was just this massive strip of snow...road....okay in other words there weren't any lanes becuase the snow covered up the lines that separated them. meaning it was really really dangerous and yep we saw a car crash. as well as heaps of trucks carrying about 10 cars that had broken down lol.
oh and another thing is, since the snow is so heavy there, most of the cars had a blanket of snow on them, so if you looked from above at night you would just see little white dots moving bahaha.
i don't think the government/council of new jersey would bother to scrape off the snow on the highway anyway......meh, we spent practically an hour on the highway since we had to go really slow, about 20-30 km/h
hardly a highway.....lol
by the time we got off the highway it was around 7pm, so we headed off to a seafood buffet that had sounded really promising by our tour guide.
i was extremely disappointed and became scared of american food.
highlights of buffet:
1. SUSHI!!!!!
2. sago dessert soup...thing?
and um that's about it.
[what's the antonym to highlights? downlights?] bad...things of the buffet
1. pretty much all the food was either swimming in butter, deep fried and then drowned in butter, deep fried and not drained properly so there were sickening puddles of oil in the bowls
eg. baked salmon. oh wait it's swimming in butter. lovely!!!
garlic and BUTTER mushrooms
salt and pepper squid/frog legs that were deep fried [obviously]
2. THERE WAS THIS BUCKET OF MELTED BUTTER AS A SAUCE. WTFFFFF?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. the dessert was kind of hilarious. most of the biscuits weren't even made there, they were still in their packaging at the table LOL way to go.......
hahahaha, when i had dessert i took teeny bits of each thing that looked edible, so when i tried this pudding thing i took a teeny little splodge of each. and i chopped off a little bit of mocha cake and then i turned around and saw one of the workers walking up to the dessert table looking pretty pissed off so i left......XD
the end result of the dessert is awesome. just wait for pictures.
other thatn that, me and viv had fun video caming and taking pictures of the snow outside. and yeahh wait till i get proper internet lol.
after an...um..interesting. dinner...we got to our hotel - double tree hotel!
turns out the Hilton has a family of hotels, and DTH was one of them. we got 2 free freshly baked choc chip cookies. realy really yummy
i still have one left in my bag...ANYBODY WANT IT? =D as well as shortbread cookies and nuts and dried fruit and sponge cake and a muffin which is squashed i think...
hotel was supposed to be 5 star, not sure how it works out like that when our bathroom was smaller than the 3 star one [novotel in toronto]
ahh wells, had a swim, fb and blogged and then slept at like 1am and woke up 4.5 hours later.
done!

heheh scary people next door..haha very logical to stay inside the car, WITH THE HEATING! and yeah those people most likely came by taxi haha atleast you werent the only early ones.. still creeeeeepy. HOMGGGGGGGGGG -7 DEGREES? WAAAAAAAAAAH. sigh. stupid heat over here.
LOLOLOL AT THIS
-"and pass these gates is AMERICA!"
oooooooh 5 star, well even though the bathroom is smaller, it may just be in a better area and better hygeine or just nicer looking or something
HOMGHOMGHOMG SO JEALOUS, PENSLYVANIA + NEW JERSEY GOING THROUGH? SO COOOOOOOL.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAA HILARIOUSSSSSSSSS I WOOD LOVE TO SEE THAT
AMERICAAAAA! :D:D:D:D:D
waaaaaaaah 7pm by then! aww what a dissapointing buffet, owell SUSHI! and SAGO! are mighty delicious, so it's okay. waaaaaah 4.5 hours of sleep? god you have been so sleep deprived on your trip!
x
haha yeahh sheriton in atlantic city was wtf =="
yep i'm very sleep deprived
i sleep on the bus though....
New jersey is the home of the New Jersey Nets in the NBA! If I were you I wouldn't feel worthy to be there....nah just kidding, sounds like there's snow everyhwere at the moment up there in America!
Haha, yeah deep fried is the American way, that's why they're all so fat obviously :P Seriously, if you've ever watched baseball over there there are some REALLY fat people that can't run at all, it's quite funny actually!
Oh the antonym of highlights is lowlights...i got that off a commercial for a hair product, believe it or not. "Make the most of the higlights and lowlights of your hair!" and it stuck for some reason....anyway, try and get a BIT more sleep, maybe the posts will be less blabbering on ;) No just joking, keep up the great blogging, there's so much to read here compared to what you've blogged about before you went on this trip :D
