Eastern USA Tour - Day 2. Part 2 Atlantic City

okay, since the new york post was really long i wasn't bothered to continue on with atlantic city
*mind rewinds to atlantic city....and has lots of trouble*

umm...so....after new york i think i slept on the bus for a few hours until we arrived at atlantic city, which, i acdtually have no idea where it is in america
i kept thinking of the hidden city under the sea in "the little mermaid" disney movies.....XD
anyways, we arrived at our hotel which was the sheraton
wasn't that great....

and then we walked to "caesar palace" for about 10 minutes. along the way we saw lots of factory outlets, including 3 GUESS shops [these people love guess], clarks, H&M and HEAPS of lolly stores which were so big and cool
i want to try hershey's ice cream one day...
anyways....there was heaps of snow and ice. and the ice was all slippery so i kept slipping and i fell down :(
and nearly fell down....every couple of minutes
kind of terrible
my dad called me a potato :'(
and, i even slipped INSIDE caesar palace WTFF? okay let's just say the tiles were very slippery
that's true! also my boots are kind of worn out as well =="

ah wells, maint point of walking to caesars palace was to see the water show. and for some reason we had to walk through a CASINO. like, crown casino
except bigger
and wtf? they allowed us to walk through it...there was even a baby on the tour and lots of little kids errr....and then we passed through smoking areas and bars and stuff
took a video as well lmao
the water show was so cool! it's basically just a big....indoor...fountain if that makes sense
eg crown plaza, but the fountain thingy is a big big circle. and then above there's a high ceiling with all these lights and special effects etc
cbs explaining, wait till the video is up on fb
after that we kept walking through, and the setting looked like the las vegas casino ceilings/macau ones where the ceilling is an illusion of the sky
and there were statues of greek gods, and they had christmas hats on them! hahah so funny. just random red hats ontop of statues wthhh lol

anyways, we had planned to have a seafood buffet, but that had closed due to the weather....so then everybody split up to have their own dinner. some went to mcdonalds, i mean, MCDONO or burger king but me viv dad went to....cafe roma. =D
i had the salmon on this mashed potato with red stuff in it, roast sweet potatoes YUMMMMM and chinese vegies!!!!
viv had this linguini with spicy prawn nomnom
dad had the steak haha
and we all shared and then i got full halfway during the meal......so by the end i was really bloated ehehehhe

after that we walked back to the sheraton, got kind of lost but met up with other people from our tour and managed to find our way back.
i decided to go for a swim, but NOOO fking sheraton is too gay =="
their swimming pool was CLOSED! all the water had been drained out >.>
i mean wtf, why would they choose to renovate NOW, when it's christmas season and most popular time for tourists
crazy people
ALSO, THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE INTERNET IN THE ROOM!
so i had to go to the internet area outside =(

and then i went to sleep. ta da!

Eastern USA tour - day 2. NEW YORK! part 1.

woke up all groggy and sooo freaking sleep deprived. pfsh who gives a shit man, today was NEW YORK!
well the morning was and early afternoon

so, NEW YORK!!!!!
we drove for about an hour from new jersey to new york, where we had breakfast at mcdonalds, or as my fobby tour guide says - MCDONO!
in in in TIMES SQUARE! took so many pictures in the bus ahhhhhh. the ginormous bilboards were so cool, lots of them advertising diff things, some of them kind of wrong and funny but c'mon it's new york
the ones that had little videos or adverts playing were my faves :)
arghhhh sorry i'm staying in retarded sheraton, which is supposed to be good but there isn't even intenret in the rooms! have to use some gay computer which seems to hate facebook *sob*
when i get good internet i'll have a separate post on pictures. actually i'll just do that on facebook
anyhows, mcdonalds was awesome. two storeys, might have been 3 storeys, not sure. there sign was big and glittery haha
had a bacon and egg mcmuffin meal - hash brown was disgusting...and then we took pictures inside mcdonalds!!! yes, sounds really touristy but all their walls were painted of new york and famous skyscrapers and places, like times square, and there was a 3D display of new york inside a glass case. yes i took a pic of that and that'll be up as well as the other hundreds of pictures.

oh and new york was absolutely flooded in snow. snow went up to my ankles, and crossing the street was so dangerous, we had to pratically climb over the snow to get to the other side =="
at one point a sewer system seemed to have broken so it smelt like hong kong LOL
after breakfast we took heaps more photos, and luckily right next to mcdonalds was a new york souvenir shop, WHERE ME AND VIV BOUGHT NY T SHIRTS YAAY!!!
i got the classic I <3 NY t shirt, so cheap, only three bucks!!!! compared to other places where it's like 20 bucks pffffsh.
me and viv were the last few to get onto the bus, and our tour guide was like
"SHOPPING ALREADY?!" when he saw the shopping bag rofl

next we got our tickets to visit the "TOP OF THE ROCK", at 30 Rockefeller plaza in MIDTOWN MANHATTEN YEAH which is proudly sponsored by swarvoski i because it houses the largest crystal chandellier IN THE WORLD.
we climbed a staircase for about 2 levels, just staring at the chandellier which is right in the center and is all sparkly and pretty =)
then we took a lift which took us to level...69 i think? anyway it was so cool, the roof was transparent and it played this awesome slideshow - took a vid of lift ride, also up on fb one day
then we spent ages and ages taking pictures of new york city. oh myyy god.
indescribable view okay. so many skyscrapers, all these colourful lights - too bad we didn't go at dusk or night, would've been even better. took pictures of downtown (south), uptown (north), east side, west side, etc etc etc
luckily the skies were nice and blue and not cloudy =)
then we took an escalator to the top of the building, where it was realy really cold so took only a few pictures and then ran back inside lol
we had a professional photo taken inside as well, turns out the package was 30 bucks wtff so expensive
and they sold 22 dollar I <3 NY shirts. rip off much.
photo package had one large photo, 4 wallet size ones and we got "free" magnets and night view of nyc.

then we went outside and took heaps more pictures. at rockefeller center there are heaps of other buildings and tourist attractions. they have the largest christmas tree in the world, and yep took lots more pictures there. also some nice statues and sculptures, more pictures. they also had an ice-skating rink that looked really fun :)

AHH and they had a huge window displaying Harry Potter Theme Park!!!!! took an awesome picture of me next to harry potter, just wait till it's on fb haha. also had window displays of heroes. NBC today show is filmed near there as well.
hmmmmm also saw people breaking up the ice on the street which had been closed...and pretty big trucks scraping off the snow on the roads and dumping them on the edges lol, like a mountain of snow bordering the roads and footpaths.

thennnnn back onto the bus to.....MADAME TUSSAUDS WAX MUSEUM! ahh so so fun and cool.
THEY DIDN'T HAVE HARRY POTTER :( :( :(
but they did have brangelina [zomg brad looked mega hot], george clooney, madonna in this really sexual pose [her legs were wide wide wide wide open], britney spears pole dancing, michael jackson, oprah, jennifer anniston - they stuffed up her face, looks NOTHING like her :(, julia roberts, marilyn monroe, spice girls, serena williams, superman, obama, politicians, musicians, influential people eg einstein, james bond, etc etc etc.
me and viv went into this....scary thing. can't remember what it's called, but you walk in a dark mazed room and you get freaked out like shit. took lots and lots of pics hahaha.

NEXT was a ferry to see statue of liberty!! learnt heaps from that, our tour guide was really really into it, he started giving speeches and preaching, but it was good because you could tell he really loved america.
some facts that i can still remember.....
1. people at manhatten call a park any area with more than 5 trees...he might have been joking, but, manhatten has heaps of parks
2. new york has 468 subways
3. BMV stands for 'brooklyn manhatten vehicle', that ALSO might have been a joke lol
4. no such thing as "zone 0", where the twin towers and 5 other rockefeller skyscrapers fell on september 11th, he started preaching about how americans picked up from where they had fallen and kept on going. so now i think they're building new skyscrapers
5. the family of rockefellers that built the twin towers were pretty smart. since the towers are sooo tall, of course, in turns of science, you need a really strong and sturdy base to support them. and there's a specific type of rock, might have a mix of shale? not sure he was talking really fast lol that is deep deep down in earth's crust. and back at that time, the hudson river was really wide, and the land was pretty narrow. SO, as they dug up the earth and rock, they dumped it into the hudson river, therefore, they created more land!!! geniuses.
6. statue of liberty has heaps and heaps of symbols. the crown has 7 points, representing the 7 seas and 7 continents.
on one of the ankles is a broken shackle, representing something about the french fighting for freedom and breaking the laws I THINK. i defs know that at the time it was being built they were ruled by some evil stadistic man called napoleon.
the two people that built it were also geniuses, one of them built eiffel tower. they knew that since the statue of liberty would be placed in such a location, with the water around it that at some point the statue might change colour. so, it's actually made out of copper, and after thirty years the salt and oxygen changed the colour to green, which now has a protective coating. and they thought that green would look nice against the blue skies lol. and if the statue of liberty loses it's green colour...it's not statue of liberty anymore.
7. one of the two famous bridges was built by two people. first was a man called washington, and then he died after an accident so his wife finished building it. which was apparently a really good sign of women...strength...independence....i should know this but blaaaah =="
and yeah learnt about long island, and how immigrants got in and stuff
oh oh
if an immigrant came in and had a broken limb, or had a limp, the doctor would draw a "L" on the back of their clothes with chalk, meaning "lame" and they were sent to quarantine. people with contagious diseases also had chalk drawn on their back - the initials of the disease and were too sent to quarantine. after a few days if they weren't healed they were sent back to their country, which was about 2% of all.
that place was called two things. "Island of hope", hope for the people that would become americans and "Island of tears", tears fot eh 2% of people that got sent back to their country.

anyway i'm blabbing ..... i bet you skipped all that shit lol.

lol and our tour guide, george, was also really enthusiastic about taking photos of us so yeah took lots =)
it was acutally kind of warm, sun was out, around 3-5 degrees. well, in comparison to in the morning and at night blah

after that we had lunch, had a nice subway thing and soup. then me and viv went to vic secret and bought perfume that was HALF PRICE OKAY. =)
smells nice and vanillery
oh and we wanted this other one, the box was awesome as, when you open it it wolf whistles bahahah

then i got my fave souvenir...a metal plate that says BROADWAY and has outlines of new york skyscrapers and stuff
and underneath broadway and the signature masks it says

Lauraa :)   Ave
                 2009
for anyone that wants to see it just check out my locker next year XD

then, back onto the bus to atlantic city!

EASTERN USA TOUR - DAY 1. part one

soooo, we got up at a very early time...five something?or six something? nooo idea :)
and when we arrived at the place where the bbus would pick us up, we found out we were quite early, so we decided to stay in the car, the most logical thing to do, unlike some people who waited outside, but i reckon they got there by taxi so yeah.

anyway, the people in the car next to us were really really weird...
they kept staring at us!!!!!! and then i started doing my hair and put my beanie on and they just watched me! the whole time! like wthhh ! me and viv caleld them "inspectors"

wells, we got on the bus [asian tour company okay, the tour guides speak both canto and mando and they have a hilarious fobby accent, but not as awesome as my grandpa's of course] and turns out that some buses were late becuase they froze up or something, so we got driven to china town and had to wait for our bus. like freaking -7 degrees or something arghhh had to wait for 5-10 minutes.
oh wells, we got on the bus, nice and warm and listening to fobby accent talking and drove to AMERICA!!!!

when we got to the borderline, so cool when our tour guide said
"and pass these gates is AMERICA!"
took AGES to be allowed through, had to wait for more than 30 minutes. and then we got back on the bus and drove ;)

next stop was pennsylvania at the info centre which was a TOILET BREAK, picture break [okay that sounds REALLY fob but blah] and hot drink break!!! in our case viv spilt some mocha tsk tsk tsk.
took some photos...umm...those will be up later....on facebook

thenn back onto the bus, more snoozing and when i woke up we were in NEW JERSEY!!!
the snow was really really heavy, and the highway was terrible. you couldn't even see the roads - it was just this massive strip of snow...road....okay in other words there weren't any lanes becuase the snow covered up the lines that separated them. meaning it was really really dangerous and yep we saw a car crash. as well as heaps of trucks carrying about 10 cars that had broken down lol.
oh and another thing is, since the snow is so heavy there, most of the cars had a blanket of snow on them, so if you looked from above at night you would just see little white dots moving bahaha.
i don't think the government/council of new jersey would bother to scrape off the snow on the highway anyway......meh, we spent practically an hour on the highway since we had to go really slow, about 20-30 km/h
hardly a highway.....lol

by the time we got off the highway it was around 7pm, so we headed off to a seafood buffet that had sounded really promising by our tour guide.
i was extremely disappointed and became scared of american food.

highlights of buffet:
1. SUSHI!!!!!
2. sago dessert soup...thing?

and um that's about it.

[what's the antonym to highlights? downlights?] bad...things of the buffet
1. pretty much all the food was either swimming in butter, deep fried and then drowned in butter, deep fried and not drained properly so there were sickening puddles of oil in the bowls
eg. baked salmon. oh wait it's swimming in butter. lovely!!!
garlic and BUTTER mushrooms
salt and pepper squid/frog legs that were deep fried [obviously]

2. THERE WAS THIS BUCKET OF MELTED BUTTER AS A SAUCE. WTFFFFF?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. the dessert was kind of hilarious. most of the biscuits weren't even made there, they were still in their packaging at the table LOL way to go.......
hahahaha, when i had dessert i took teeny bits of each thing that looked edible, so when i tried this pudding thing i took a teeny little splodge of each. and i chopped off a little bit of  mocha cake and then i turned around and saw one of the workers walking up to the dessert table looking pretty pissed off so i left......XD
the end result of the dessert is awesome. just wait for pictures.

other thatn that, me and viv had fun video caming and taking pictures of the snow outside. and yeahh wait till i get proper internet lol.

after an...um..interesting. dinner...we got to our hotel - double tree hotel!
turns out the Hilton has a family of hotels, and DTH was one of them. we got 2 free freshly baked choc chip cookies. realy really yummy
i still have one left in my bag...ANYBODY WANT IT? =D as well as shortbread cookies and nuts and dried fruit and sponge cake and a muffin which is squashed i think...

hotel was supposed to be 5 star, not sure how it works out like that when our bathroom was smaller than the 3 star one [novotel in toronto]
ahh wells, had a swim, fb and blogged and then slept at like 1am and woke up 4.5 hours later.

done!

although, there was this REALLY REALLY NICE TARBUCKS CHOC POWDER THING
if you go to costco in docklands try find that! huge huge metal cylinder tin, raelly really nice and yummy
oh and extremely sweet too
funnily enough, the layout of docklands costco is exactly the same as the canadian one
hahaha

next was...ZOMGGGG H&M
spent ages and ages in there, defs more than an hour
they had such awesome aweomse stufff - found a nie skirt for 10 bucks but din't have my size :(
found an even awesomer skirt, but it wasn't on sale and it was 35 so no no can't buy :(
but i found a checkered pinhk dress for 20...not sure if i REALLY like it
shouldi return it and then pay extra 15 bucks and get the skirt? hmmm.....SKIRT SO PRETY LAH
ok eww sound asian fob now
anyway my dad was nice enough to wait for us, he sat down on the chair oustide the changeroom and i used him as my trolley....
"dad can you please hold my jacket it's too heavy to carry around"
"dad can you please hold these items i need to try on these ones"

anyway, at the pay area i was kind of fail.
i found two shirts for two of my friends *coughgraceandlisacough*, but i returned one of them just before i payed
and then at pay area i was like
"actually can i not take these shorts and get something else?"
so i ran back and got the other shirt [BE THANKFUL LISA. THOSE SHORTS WERE ON SALE]
and then i realised that if i got the awesome skirt, i'd have to pay heaps
so....:(
"umm i wont' take the skirt either..."
*sob*

next store was garage!!!!!

which was for viv and then viv got me a purple jumper that was for FREEEEEEEEEEE TOOOOOOO!!!
HAVE I EMPHASISED THE 'FREEEEEEEEEEEEENESS" ENOUGH? LOL
and then we got a voucher for next time we spent money on new stock, we'd get 10 dollars off yeah!

and then we ewnt home

day eight. and yes this post is about shopping.

SO ON DAY EIGHT WHICH WAS A THURSDAY I WOKE UP AND I WENT AND HAD A PRETTY LIGHT BREAKFAST WHICH CONSISTED OF 2.5 PANCAKES AND MY USUAL CEREALS AND FRUITS.
i realised i hate their pancakes. they taste like they're from a packet mix. HMPH! only thing that makes them taste nice is the maple syrup, of course.
blah blah blah blah blah and then i had tea and i went upstairs to get dressed etc etc etc la la la. and then we left for square one shopping mall WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oh wait i have a feeling we did something before that....yeah we got congee for grandpa and we dropped it off but i can't remember cos i was napping in the car.

anyway, SQUARE ONE!
since i'm in toronto, the average temperature in the morning is around -10 to -15 degrees blah!
so when i got into the car i said
"arghh the seat is too cold for my butt! it's going to freeze"
and as i said this condensation happened teehee!
annd we had to walk like 80m to the entrance from the carpark outside, hollyyyy shiiiit the wind was so cold my whole face froze and my hair went retarded...
my forehead got really cold too! so then i got sick =( and got a terrible runny nose
AND MY STUPID SISTER. I ASKED HER FOR THE MOISTURISER IN THE CAR BUT THAT BITCH SAID SHE LEFT IT IN THE HOTEL, UNTIL I WENT THROUGH HER HANDBAG WHEN WE SAT DOWN IN THE CENTRE AND FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS IN THERE THE WHOLE TIME, AND THAT MY WHOLE FACE WAS SUFFERING AND MY NOSE WAS ALL RED AND SORE AND IT HURT BECUASE I BLEW MY NOSE TOO MUCH AND SHE HAD THE FKING MOISTURISER A;SLDKFJAPWOEIHGA;LKSHDF;ASLDKFJ.
oh and my lips started cracking and bleeding and peeling but i had lip balm at the ready so chyeah.

haha anyways, the first store i went into was for my mother, and then i got bored and went into the next store which sold lots of t shirts and some explicit stuff.
an example was a pillow which said
"IF YOU'RE READING THIS, THEN WE DID IT LAST NIGHT."

after that we went up a level, just browsing the stores until we came upon "GUESS"
which had a sale on. and mum decided to go in but i said "guess is really expensive!" and she said "okay we'll just have a look"
yes. totally "just have a look"
we ended up spending over an hour in there....and i tried at least 10 pairs of jeans :)
and bought two of them. and a pair of some hot suede and leather boots.
BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT! OF COURSE, SINCE I ONLY BUY CHEAP STUFF THEY WERE ON SALE!
both jeans were from a rack that were already reduced jeans and had a FURTHER 50% OFF!
boots were also already reduced, AND another 50% off!
YAY!
viv got a pair of jeans and a really nice black dress. mum got two handbags which were both on sale [me and viv got this really cute purple one, only 50 bucks!!!!!] and perfume. which smells really nice but i think she's giving it to my auntie aww
annd there was a deal that if you spent over 130, you'd get a tank top worth 50 bucks
so me and viv got one each. YAY!
don't even ask how much we spent...
sighh and there was this really pretty gold love heart bracelet, already reduced AND 50% off!
so cheap, only 12 bucks! from GUESS, which is a pretty good brand.
but i wasn't bothered to get it =D

anyways after that we went to walmart and got something lah lah lah luckily we didn't have a retarded worker but we still had someone pretty slow. i swaer walmart hires slow workers ==" fking losers
then we had to go to aldo to buy suede protector, but then we got lost so we bought it from a diff store for same price as aldo but a smaller bottle =="
and on the way back we found aldo. BLAH!

and thenn...we went to food court and bought burger king for grandpa cos he likes it [no shit]
and then we went to nursing home, gave the burger to grandpa which made him very happy and i fell asleep on his bed ehehehe.
and then we had dinner and went back to the hotel.
and i went to the gym. and killed my ankles and back on the treadmill because i was wearing volleys, and i have flat feet, so i had the worst support for my feet....ehehehehe.....

anyways end of day 8!
lah lah!

YES I AM A FEW DAYS LATE. A;SLKDJFASL;KJF. continuation of shopping part on day 7. which i can't really remember now >_>"

so so so where did i go...obviously i went shopping. actually i've been shopping everyday since i arrived at melb airport. well, i would say "buying stuff" cos technically buying mags to read on the plane isn't shopping. is it? oh whatever don't give a crap those mags stink of planes now *gags*
just give it to someone else to read, sniff and then gag over

okay, so, we went to the "canadian version of dfo which has many stores that are all huuuugee in size and have pretty good sales on and are so big that they have their own separate store and you have to cross roads and streets to get to some of them."
hem hem.

my first reaction was
"WOOOWWWWW WHY IS IT SO BIG?!"
really, should've been
"WOOOWWWW YAAAAY LOTS OF SHOPS!"
and then my rents would'fve probably have been like
"oh no my money is going to run away in a very short time"
which i kinda did. KINDA. either way, i managed to save a lot! i only bought things that were on sale, and yes i love being asian and cheap.

so, first actual clothing store i went into was jacob. now, the clothes there are pretty hot, just like JACOB BLACK, but let's not get onto him yet. i haven't even watched new moon yet =="
oh wait one thing on him, taylor lautner was on the cover of canadian men's health magazine. AND AND WTF MAN HE HAD A FULL LENGTH SHIRT ON!
i was like
"why does he have a top on?! we can't see his abs!" when i saw the mag in walmart OMG WALMART so freaking big
and then viv was like
"okay well they want to show that he still looks good with a top on"
WELL NO SHIT.
and then i said
"okay, but, at least they could make him wear a sleeveless top."
it was funny, he looked so teeny because there was this huge space around him and the texts, it looked like he wasn't buff enough to fit the required space on the cover bahaha. which isn't true.

speaking of celebs, i saw some girl that kind of looked like megan fox a few days ago. i bet she made her make up and hair just like megan's. except she didn't dress like her.

anyway back to canadian dfo.

BACK TO JACOB. they had awesome shirts for five bucks, so i bought two for my friends and one for me =D
annd, my t shirt isn't grey or purple or black! YAY! it's PINK! but not sickly pink, a nice subtle dark pink with birdies. which are black. but whatever :)
i mainly stacked up on some winter stuff - skivvies [how do you spell that?!], sweaters etc. got something that was originally 40 for 10, something 55 for 15, etc etc. see i saved money!!!

after that, we realisd it was SNOWING!! so we took lots of pics and a vid where we're all spastic =)

the stuff i bought at jacob was stuff that i dind't "desperately" need. what i really needed were some jeans! so we went into calvin klein and i tried on a few. canadian/usa sizing is wtf =="
unfortunately i couldn't fit into a size 0 *weeps* and size 2 was too big, and they don't make jeans in size 1.
POOH.
i wonder what size grace would be....lisa whatcha reckon? -2?
and grace if you're reading this and getting pissed...HIHIHIHI! XD just think of that H&M top i got you ;)

then then then, we went to costa blanca. originally we were just going to "take a look"
too bad "take a look" ended up as 1.5 hours hehehehe
my dad followed us inside, stilll looking like a fking walking orange omg and plonked onto a chair. which he abandoned after me and viv were clearly not "taking a look" for the car and said we had until 7pm
me and viv: 'wooooooooow nice stuff!'

"OMGG LAURA LOOK THIS DRESS IS 7 DOLLARS. ORIGINALLY 50!"
"ZOMGG LEMME SEE-EEEEEEWWWW..."
it was this pink, tight fitting low cut dress, with sparkly thing studs on it [i think, i can't remember...i might be thinking of a diff dress. blah]
but i tried it on anyway, becuse it was 7 dollars. and it looked quite slutty ewwies.

but OMG THEY HAVE AWESOME SHOES! lots of cute flats and hot heels espesh heeled boots which i got viv to try.
i was going to buy some red flats except they weren't chaep enough for me. 30 bucks down to 19. i would buy if they were 10.
and viv was going to buy a pair of shoes a 1-2 sizes bigger, just for the sake of it cos they looked nice, except WTF the people didn't even have the other shoe in the pair
anyway imo they weren't cheap enough. 50 bucks. that was full price, and, seirously, a good pair of boots should've been like 70 to 90, and if they were on sale for 50 i'd buy.
ah, it was funny. at one point me and viv both found something awesome and cheap at the same time.
so our conversation from the other ends of the shop went like this:
"VIVIAN! COME HERE!"
"NO LAURA YOU COME HERE!"
"COME HERE!"
"YOU COME HERE!"
"FINE!"
can't remember what we had found...ohh i think viv found this pretty cool jacket.
it looked nice, but when i tried it on i realised that it had the padded shoulders which were "in" this year, but now they're not and they look weirdd as.
sighh speaking of jackets i saw this really really cool white one, a trenchcoat with horizontal buttons and everything XD
but they only had size 6 :( :(. 80 bucks to 24 ZOMGGG!
if only they had size 8 and i would've bought it *weeps*
ahh, so funny, i saw so much stuff i wanted, and i ended up going in the changing room 3 times trying at least 10 diff types of clothing
and then i walekd out with about....2 or 3. XD
and made my dad wait for 45 mins in the car. my lame excuse was
"oh i walked out at 7 but i couldn't find your car."
anyway he got really really pissed off and started shouting etc etc etc. oh and we ended up getting out of the store completely at around 7 50 LOL

anyways that's my lovely adventure on day 7.
now for day 8 and 9. *grumble*

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

day SEVEN. technically it should be day six because i went back a day, but blah.

i'm broke. literally. but kinda happy? keep reading if you want to know why...but i'm guessing you probs know why hahaha

hum, so, at breakfast, i was quite disappointed. i saw the "pancakes" label on the table, and i opened up the lid of the hot thing thing and guess what
no pancakes
but french toast
GOOD JOB NOVOTEL CAFE PEOPLE, GOOD JOB.
okay at least maple syrup was there =="
anywa yi had the usual, egg white, cereal, ham with cottage cheese and fruit.
i'm so sick of it ughhh >____>"
and i'm sick of congee, noodles, dumplings, wontons, rice, bread...
i miss.. um... I MISS MY ALMONDS AND BOILED WATER *SOB SOB SOB*

haha, so, we then went to get congee and wontons for my grandparents, and as usual i slept in the car, like SID, FROM ICE AGE APPARENTLY LOL WTH and dropped them off at their nursing home.
then we went SHOPPING!!!
three words
OH
MY
GAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWD.

the shopping area was basically just heaps of stores, all pretty big, at dfo prices so like 40-70% off in every store. they were all outdoor though, which was really bad because outside was like -5 dgrees and inside 25 degrees or something warm like that, so it was swtiching from warm to cold warm to cold warm to cold
and i was too lazy to keep my jacket on for the whole time, so, i'm expecting to get sick soon...
hopefully my daily citrus fruits at breakfast will keep my vitamin c up!

first store we went to was this home living one.
OMGGGG they had this whole aisle, of all these awesome special foods
there was this tin of flavoured sugar, and you invert some onto the rim of the lid, and you dip the rim of the mug of coffee or tea or whatever onto it, so when you drink yoru tea, you have a rim of flavoured sugar! GENIUS!!!!!!
and there were other awesome foods bahah there was this jar of layered cookie mix. so pretty!
it was..3/4 of first layer was flour, then a layer of brown sugar, a layer of caster sugar, another layer of brown sugar and then choc chips
i tried to get them to all mush up by shaking it but then the person started giving me this pissed off look so i stopped......
and there was this GINORMOUS mixing bowl, would've bought but wtf as if i'd be able to bring it back LOL be like this bulge in the suitcase..speaking of my suitcase it's overflowing
i think i'll have to leave some clothes at hong kong or give to homeless people :)

next was electronic store, i just stood in front of the harry poter blu ray dvd LOL

hmm. before i forget
embarrassing moment from dad number 3:

my dad's jacket is this poofy, waterproof bright fluro orange one. and he always wears a black beanie, which bobs over his head.
now, everybody in toronto wears dark colorus in winter, so their jackets are either black or dark brown
meaning, my dad really stood out. and people kept staring at him. AND he wore sunglasses WTF?!

therefore, me and viv decided that whenever possible we would act like we didn't know this man, because, honestly, HE LOOKED LIKE A WALKING ORANGE.
i have a strange family.
and since i'm on the topic of strange family members, i'll mention my grandpa.
my grandpa LOVES to eat. he east anything. but it's kind of cute haha. anyway, everyday we've been getting them congee and wonton and noodles etc etc. so today when we visited him, he was in a really good mood cos we brought him food
and he's like
"i am going to stay in this nursing home for the rest of my life. but i am very very happy! because they give me free food! and they have nice food! and i like to eat!"

"whenever you go to grocery store, asian, european, costco, whatever. make sure you buy the black grapes! they are very very cheap! and veerryy sweet! the sweetest! gong gong [grandpa in canto] likes to eat them! so whenever you go, you buy three packets, two for you and one for me! ahh, i like to eat them. i can eat a whole bag"

"ahh, that was very good [after finishing congee]. ahh it's 4 30! nearly time for dinner [he eats at 5]. good, more food! and then after that is snack time!"
and since this is in a fobby accent and grammar, makes it even more funny. anyway enough about weird family members!

HIGHLIGHTS:
1. went shopping!!!!! oh man, all you girls out there, i feel so lucky, being able to experience sooo many stores that are bigger than ones in shopping centres, and ones that are exclusive to usa and stuff ANNNNND ARE ON SALE!!!
i will put a separate post on that...=D
2. it snowed! like, full on snowed!!! all the cars went all white because of the snow. they're called "flurries"
me and viv took lots of pics, we tried to eat the snow by standing with our mouths wide open but that just look really retarded and it wasn't working, and we took vids too! i picked some snow up and took a pic, arghh my hands were dying when that happened haha. so weird, in the afternoon it was colder and it was really windy, but not snowing, but in the evening when it WAS snowing it was warmer?
meh, at least it meant i could spend more time outside taking photos and not freezing
3. i think we're going to new york on saturday! if i don't get internet i'll cry, i'll be having MASSIVE blogs about that
meh, as long as i have heaps and heaps of pictures, i'm happy enough =)
4. when i go to hong kong i get a haircut, and maybe i'll suck up to my mum to let me get highlights...
POST A COMMENT and tell me what haircut i should get and what colour XD
anybody know any streets that have good hair salons in hk? and grace i know you told me but uhhh i cbs looking for it in our long emails

we started the day off kind of shit - we got up at 9:40am :S
well, i woke up at 9 40, and at first i thought it was a mistake, until i realised it wasn't. so i was like
"ARGHH DAD IT'S 9 40! BREAKFAST CLOSES IN 20 MINUTES!!!!!!!"
so yeah, we got out of the door in less than 5 mins. proness ;) well, me and dad. mum and viv took ages

anyhows, i had what i had yesterday, except i realised they have a LOT of egg stuff
scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, steamed egg, omelette, etc etc etc
STUPID PEOPLE, USE THOSE EGGS ALONG WITH FLOUR AND MILK AND MAKE FREAKING PANCAKES
OR WAFFLES AT LEAST!
AND, I SAW SOME BAGLES. BUT NOT MAPLE SYRUP, UNTIL MY SISTER TOLD ME HOURS LATER THAT THERE WERE TWO JUGS OF MAPLE SYRUP!!!!!!!!!!!
*cries*
oh well, i'll go straight for the jugs tomorrow. hmph.

after brekky we went to the travel agent for travel insurance, etc, etc. then we went to the bank my mum and dad opened a joint account - don't ask me what they did.
when i sat down i started experiencing vertigo OMG SO ANNOYING
it feels like you're on a boat, swaying slightly, or, for me, i felt like i was still on the plane =="

AFTER THAT lol we went to saquare one. where i exchanged my bag for a diff bag - lisa i'll take a pic later...=D
annd...i bought lotsa socks!

and then we went to nursing home for a few hours, where i slept half on the floor half on the chair so my neck went all retarded and so did my left hand i couldn't feel my pinkie finger so i full one wacked it and then lots of pins and needles came about :( :( :(
oh well, we had lots of fun on the snow! i threw a snowball at viv but she was a party pooper and got pissed off and kicked me in the butt WTF?!

mmmm and we made a snow man
but i cbf uploading, go on fb :)
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3186815&id=737502863#/album.php?aid=130775&id=737502863

holy fk man, i couldn't feel my toes or hands after this :(
then we went for dinner. yum! won ton noodles congee and vegies
and now i'm back in the hotel
=D

lala!

DAY FOUR PART 3. recollections..?

okay, so, i forgot to put some stuff in in the previous post, so here it is
remember how i bought my bag, and the tax made it go up to 83 bucks?
here's the fail conversation i had with the store worker

*hands over bag*

worker: okay, that comes to 83 dollars
me: isn't it on sale?!?!
worker: *gives me strange look* yes, but including tax
me: OH, right right. *face palm*

anyway, i think she coudl tell i wasn't from there because of my accent.
canadian accent is very..er...it's a "mix" apparently
sometimes annoys me
bah

what else. oh yes, lisa, here is your paragraph!!!!!!!!!!! and william you shouln't read anyumore of THIS post =D. or any other guy....
(hi lisa ! )
so. HOT CANADIAN GUYS

well, when i went into square one, the first store i went today, i saw some hot guy. he had a piercing in one of his ear, not sure about the other :D. although it looked a bit weird LOL. this massive sparkly thing baha
so i was ilke
okay
hot guy count : 1
and then i saw some others, and then some more, and then eventually i was like
OKAY I SERIOUSLY CBF COUNTING I'D RATHER LOOK AT THE STORES MY COUNT WILL JUST BE : TOO MANY TO COUNT/UNLIMITED!

anyway, when i got my frozen yogurt, the people in front of me were three guys
two were bros, they looked cute and the other guy was ugly LOL
anyway, here's a descrip of the guys
they had blonde, curly, goldy hair! like goldilocks!! but, better?
and their skin holy shit soo pale! but nice pale. not like, vampire creepy pedophile edward cullen 108 virgin who stares at girls sleeping and gets constipated looks when he's near her okay i should stop now' look, but a nice milky pale =D
and his little bro looked exactly the same too!
but his accent made him sound kind of gay. LOL

anyway, for some reason, the hot guys dress weird....meh. ahhs well, enough of hot canadian guys for now XD
so lisa, are there any hot guys in ny? rofl

DAY FOUR PART TWO! HELLO MY LOVELY BISHES! ;)

so why am i writing up a part two again......
NOTE* this second post contains lengthy paragraphs about fashion, bags, bitchy comments about REALLY REALLY TERRIBLE workers and i was going to talk about hot canadian guys for LISA but then that's in the next post XD
SO......if you're a guy, you might find this rather boring in some parts. but lisa says you could learn something! ta ta!

bah, okay, so, square one.
we parked a couple of levels above the mall in the carpark, so we had to walk a bit. me and viv decided to be logical, and to not bring our fat jackets because the nmall would be heated and there was no point in bringing it. therefore, it meant we had to walk/run in 0 degree weather to the lift. i, however, did this AWEESOME penguin walk/run. if any of you that are reading this are from cgs, i bet you mine pwns jeffery's :).  i asked viv to vid record it but she said she wasn't stuffed to :( :( :(
meh, i'll force her to take a video outside where lighting is better, don't you all worry :)
it'll be on fb though. as well as pics. speaking of pics, i would upload some but viv is sleeping and can't tell me where the usb connector is, so, i'll have pics up later =D
anyway, i penguin walked/ran to the mall, and when i got in i did a HUGEE sigh of relief - the heating was so niceeeee.
anyway, in the car, i had already outlined my shopping list
1. handbag
2. wallet
3. boots
4. jacket
5. gloves
i desperately needed gloves and boots, as my volleys are very inadequate and after 5-10 minutes outside my toes started getting REALLY REALLY cold...=D plus i kept slipping on the snow :( :( :(
wait that's kind of bad....
same with my hands, they went freezing after a couple of mins outside.
so, me and viv, like normaly girls poked around in practically every store. and HOLYY CRAP THERE WERE SO MANY SALES ON! like 40% on everything in store, or 50-70% on selected items, etc etc. and OH MY FKING GOD SO MANY CLOTHES WERE FKING AWEESOME!!!!!
the coats/jackets were amazing, and they were on sale too!
i saw heaps of trench coats, but, i can't exactly buy one, because melb weather doesn't get cold enough..:(
so, i searched for the short coats, preferably the ones with the double buttons.
i found some that were quite nice, and OH MY GOD I FOUND ONE THAT LOOKED LIKE THE BURBERRY SIGNATURE TRENCH COAT but it was wayy too expensive :'(
anyhows, i found a fair few coats with a suede kind of material hmm.
however, i think i'll get a poofy waterproof short jacket, cos that's what i probably need, and that's what most people wear.
oh, also, my god, i felt extremely out of place with what i was wearing. since it's winter, everybody weras dark colours eg. black, dark grey, brown, etc. my jumper was green >_>"
ALSO, i was wearing VOLLEYS! everybody was wearing boots
fashion suicide man!!!!!!
so, back to the jackets. should i get a fat poofy jacket are a nice fashionable short one with the double horizontal buttons that look extremely HOT?!
or both......XD

anyway, enough of jackets
now onto boots!
for the boots, i wasn't that impressed. sure, lots of stalls had the "buy 1, get 2nd pair 50% off" sale, but i didn't really see some nice boots. actually i think that's cos i was busy looking for a bag and clothes....=D
but tomorrow i'll defs get a pair of boots. i despo need them lmao
oh and socks too.

hmm, since there were so many sales on, i took advantage of them. first thing we bought were two nike shirts. and i gotta say they are pretttyy awesome
mine's black and says in coulourful block writing "what part of just do it don't you understand?"
and viv's says...actually....not sure...=)
anyway, it said, 2 for $40
however, we forgot about the tax. which is not included *SIGH SIGH SIGH*
tax is about 13-15% *moan*
so, the price went up to 50 something. we wer elike WHAAAAAAAAAAAT?! and then realised about the tax *sniff*

next, i bought a pair of gloves that were 50% off! they're awesome, so awesome that my sister said
"i'm going to wear them too! we can share!"
to which i replied
"what the hell? these are mine! you have your own! you're not wearing mine! wear your own! buy/get your own pair!"
HMPH!
oh, forgot to mention:
first embarrassing moment was when my dad got a MAP, and started circling it and pointing to it to me and viv where we would meet up. errr......................................
second embarrassing moment was when my dad was like "look there's a shop there with 70% off!" so me and viv was like WAAH! and ran to it. guess what the store sold.
lingerie.
good one, dad. good one.

after that we just walked around - there's this awesome knitwear dress in every shop. it's a skivvy neck, but not like massive that it chokes you, and it's long sleeved and goes down to above your knees. it looks so pretty. i saw a cashmere one, holy fk it was SO expensive
and then i saw another one in a diff cheaper but nice material in a diff store, which i might buy :)
IT'S ON SALE!
annd i saw othe stuff on sale too, this mega awesome vest thing, it's a dark colour and has a fluro or sparkly outline. might buy that too....=D
i think i' need a pair of jeans though...canadian sizing is weird as o-o
oh oh, funny thing happened in the store with the vests
a worker came up to me and was like
"hi do you need any help with sizing? are you looking for a particular size in these? what size are you?"
me: "umm...i'm not sure i'm not from canada...."
worker: "okay i'd saw you're either a small or a medium...here's a small *hands over small* and here's a medium, which is a size larger than a small
like
WTF AND LOL AT THE SAME TIME!
WTF at the "medium is a size larger than a small" and LOL at that too
bahahahahahahaha. i'm not THAT dumb >_>"
ahh wells.
after that, we went to.....WALMART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and wooot lots of stuff were on sale as well! i felt like SUCH a cheapo
i hung around the racks of like $5, $7, $9 for AAAAGES
but i got some pretty nice stuff :)
annddd then we got some shampoo - herbal essences orangey one, smells like BUBBLEGUM!
anyway, here's how i got pissed for the 2nd time.

so, we lined up as usual. OH BTW I SAW NEW 5 GUM, PINK PACKET WITH AWESOME DESIGN IT LOOKS COOL AS!!!!
anyway back to getting pissed.
we had to wait for AGES to get served - the reason being that the person in own lane serving us was this retarded old lady who couldn't work fast enough for fuck. honestly, the ratio of speed of her to the other workers in a specific amount of time was like 1:2 or 3
she picked up the item really slowly, stared at it, and then scanned it
and wtf she took the bag OUT of the hangy thingsy that hold it in place and put it on the table, so she took forever to put the item in the bag
and other times she just stared out of space
like
WHAT THE HELL WOMAN, WHY AREN'T YOU FIRED ALREADY JEEEZ. anyway she was obviously an immigrant she had crap english. her name was svetlana or something
anyway, when it came to our turn to get served, she was like
"i'm going to take a while, i have to take the coathangers out"
=="
and then, wtf, she fking snapped a coathanger. JEEZ STUPID WOMAN, YO UDON'T NEED TO BREAK THE BLOODY COATHANGER TO GET IT OUT!
so i decided to take the other coathangers out, just in case she didin't break any
>___________________>"
walmart bags are huge. they're like garbage bags. not cool.

NEXT!
i bought a bag! which i'm going to return, because i don't like it.
1. it was wayy too fucking expensive, even though it was on sale from 120 to 72, gotta remember the stupid tax, so it went up to like 83 or some gayshit like that
2. i don't even like it that much
3. it's really heavy for some reason
4. there were diff bags that i liked better, and they were 50 DOLLARS!!!!!! and tax okay so that's like 60 something. but still!!!!!!!!
5. my sister made me buy it [i reckon she likes it which is why she got me to buy it] and wouldn't let me buy the other bag/s because  they were too old for me
and what the hell, she went all hypocritical when my mother saw the bag
my mother was like
"wow this bag is something i would wear! not your age!"
L: SEE I TOLD YOU VIV
v: WELL THE OTHER BAG IS TOO OLD FOR YOU
L: THIS ONE IS EVEN OLDER
V: THE OTHER BAG IS WHAT I WOULD WEAR
M: this bag is what i would wear!

WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and yes, i got EXTREMELY pissed at that, hence the very sweary email i sent grace and lisa =D

okay so that was in the hotel
BAAAAAAAAAAACK to the square one mall.

so, since, as we al know, shopping makes us HUNGRY!!!!!
me and viv decided to eat!
and our lunch was frozen yogurt. XD
now, this is the third time we got pissed
the people serving us were so wtf
only two people out of 4 knew what they were doing.
i ordered a medium size, meaning i got a choice of yogurt and TWO fruits
the fking lady only gave me ONE fruit
and she was shit as. there were people in front of us, and they got served after me and viv. wth?!!!
anyway, it tasted nice....XD
after that we went back to the hotel and then had dinner.
i cbf writing about the food there.
except, the duck we had was REALLY fat
OH OH OH
gotta mention
the amount of rice they give you!!!!!
it's like, an actual, FAT sphere of rice. huge. i gave half of that into my mum's takeaway box and ate half of wat was left
i don't like rice

anyway, i'm going to stop there.
SORRY LISA, DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO WRITE ABOUT THE HOT GUYS
THAT'LL BE THE NEXT POST!
TATA!

DAY FOUR PART ONE! HELLO MY LOVELYS ;)

if you haven't realised already, okay, now you will, this post is very long. well, it should be. it will be. so, i suggest you get comfy! and enjoy that it's in parts...because. yeah.
*this post may included strong content. but then again.........you are probably used to it by now ;)

OKAAAYS. so, how do i start? let's say, i started my day off with like what 4-5 hours of sleep.
i slept at 2am, busy talking to people in melbourne and flooding the bathroom [shhh, i put the curtain the wrong way okay =D] and waking up at 5 30 for some reason, i think it's cos i was so used to getting little periods of sleep from all the plane flights previously...which sucks. and then i just stared around the room until 6 30, when i got up and got the laptop and started fbing and msning =D =D
which woke up vivian HAHAH! yeah, i'm sleeping with her ;) ;) ARE YOU JEALOUS, FARN?
luckily  my mother was still sleeping, otherwise she would've started ranting on how i'm an internet addict...which is true, but you know, no need for the extra reminding! i couldn't exactly go back to sleep either, since i was HUNGRY!
speaking of food, i had a pretty good buffet breakfast. i have some photos, and here is my description for YOU, LISA SUTHERLAND! ;)
ironically, i was the last person to get out of the room, even though i was the first person up, i blame msn and fb and hotmail.....XD
first of all, i was ezxtremely disappointed as there were NO WAFFLES, NO PANCAKES AND NO. MAPLE SYRUP. THEY HAD HONEY! I MEAN, SERIOUSLY. NO MAPLE SYRUP, BUT HONEY?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EVEN THE BLOODY PANCAKE PARLOUR HAS MAPLE SYRUP, AND THAT'S IN AUSTRALIA LOL
THERE WEREN'T EVEN BAGLES!!!!!!!!!!
but there was some nice bread, fig and almond i had nomnmnom and chocolate croissants which i didn't have, and mini baguettes and etc...there were two jams/conserves/jelly - pineapple and orange. i couldn't really tell the difference :)
anyhow, i had some very yellow scrambled eggs - too creamy and rich for my liking. mine are better. and there were sausages and bacon, but they were too massive for me and i wasn't bothered to open the hot metal lid :D :D :D!
fortunately for me, there was CEREAL! i had...some bran thing and i think just right. i had too bowls. =D
THERE WAS NO BIRCHER MUSELI. THAT'S TERRIBLE. REALLY TERRIBLE. NO PORRIDGE EITHER. instead they tried to make themselves look like they had a big variety of cereals by having two containers of each cereal WTH ==" cheapos.
oh oh and, their slices of toast are massive! extremely thick slice. me no likey.
next was the meat section....i had ham and...ham?? lmao
and then there was the fruit section
wtf is wrong with grapefruit it tastes so sour and shit =="
they didn't have much fruit....which was again disappointing.
EITHER WAY, i had a rather filling breakfast :)
i'm stilll annoyed that i ddin't get my maple syrup. hopefully tomorrow they'll have waffles with maple syrup
if not
;ALKSDJFPAW9OIHG;LKXJFG;LAKSDJF GAY.

AFTERRR BREAKFAST, me and viv playeed on the xbox 360. it was some car race thing, and, gotta say, spent the first few minutes trying to reverse and failing. like, EPIC failing. after that it got too fail so we left and had a look at the gym. viv put me on level 6 or something on the treadmill, and then i got a stitch XD but that was like 5 mins after filling breakfast anyway. i'm not THAT unfit....
then we looked at all the muscle building equipment, holy fk, my muscles hurt after that. but it was fun. i was doing the thing where you lie on this bed thing..okay nvm mind that. and then you get the dumbells and lift them up!
i was doing that until my mum said i'd drop them on my face WTF?
thenn we checked out the swimming pool. which was, sad....can't do any laps or whatever unfortunately. although, there's a 3m deep end, so i can have fun diving! XD
okay so enough about fitness and gym and fail swimming pool.

AFTER THAAAT, my dad went to go rent a car. so we went outside [hands froze] to a diff building, which, luckily had pro heating YAY!
we rented a mini van, massive as, but that's good...i guess?
oh okay, and, the first thing that pissed me off today happened. sometimes when i put my contacts in, they really hurt because ihaven't cleaned them enough or something. if you've heard my comlaining via msn, you should know this by now eg. lisa grace will michelle. if not...now you know :)
so, i spent ages taking my contacts out and cleaning them, which pissed my  mother off but blah. my eyes were hurting so bad :( :(
*yes yes, feel sympathetic towards me!!!!*
anyway, my right contact went normal after that, but my left one annoyed me for the whole day. but i took it out as soon as i came back so atm i'm like half vision-impaired?
ahh wells. we then drove to the nursing home, where my grandparents are currently at. since it was the first time we could see the houses clearly, my mother started taking pictures in the car. which were kind of err.not that great....so me and viv toook better ones :)
the houses were so pretty - most of them snow capped!!! and heaps of them with sparkly lit xmas decorations
most of the houses looked the same lol, pretty nice as well.
so, after nursing home, we drove to square one, which is the biggest shopping mall in ontario and is luckliy like 1 min away from my hotel (novotel).
it's not THAT big, i'm pretty sure that chadstone is bigger ;)
okay, so square one. is where i got annoyed.
but that'll be in part two.....=D
good job on finishing this
now you just gotta read part two! hahahahahhaa

Day 2/3 - HK, korea, toronto.

okay, so, day two, or three. depends, if you're going to count the time difference *head swirls at the mathematic equations, which, i'm sad to say, i did in the plane. and then i forgot*
HOKAYS.
so, i woke up early to get hk passport. and oh god, my picture is fking terrible. i look like some drugged depressed insane mopey drunk retard. *cries*
i thought you're not allowed to smile in pics like those. so my australian passport is pretty bad too, but hk one is more depressing unfortunately.
meh, anyway, after that, we went to some ginormous mall, and we bought fking 7 pairs of shoes, a total of around 800 hk dollars, which is less than 150 aud right...you do the math! i only bought one pair of shoes, i don't really like them that much, but i just bought them for the sake of it =D
and then we had yum cha! and it was a really big room, ginormous chandellier [i spelt that wrong sorry] in the middle of the room. really nice food, the char siu bao came in this really buttery crunchy sugary dough NOMNOMNOM!
and then we had these noodles in this milky soup thing? that was nice....
AND THENNNN we bought a camera! YAY! meaning better picctures, meaning pics up on blog. i think. =D

so so so, after that, we rushed back to the apartment, caught a van/taxi to the airport and boarded to KOREA! YEAH!
ANND I GOT A 'I <3 HK" T SHIRT! YAAAAY they only had S in black, although the S is like a M/L, it's so big, i think it'll be my favourite summer pj shirt =D this was in giordano. and omgg they had AWESOME leggings and scarves, i so would've bought some except my mother had my purse >_>"
anyway, boarded korean airlines and surprisingly they had nice food. i like asian airlines, they always give you awesome desserts eg: green tea cake, ice cream, etc. and they give you hot steamed towels to cleanse yourself...yeah..? haha and we went on this teeny cute plane hehehehe. annd at korea airport, we bought like 12 boxes of choc, if y ou're nice to me i'll give you some. and i also got some souvenirs for people. if you're REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REEEEALLY NICE to me i might give you one xDD
and THEN, i went on ANOTHER plane *sigh* to toronto. for 12 hours 50 minutes. i was actually excited, because they had lots of movies and stuff to choose from! there were also games, and before take off i was playing tetris haha. i watched julie and julia, a bit of gi joe until i got bored and fell asleep. after i woke up i had....dinner, which was pretty good, i ate most of my mum's =D, and then i went back to sleep and after that watched UP. which was so so cute and funny :)
and then i had breakfast, that was okay, and then i watched a bit of dawn of the dinosaurs ice age 3
sid is such a retard lmao.

AND THEN I LANDED IN TORONTO AND IT WAS/IS 0 DEGREES AND THEN WE GOT TAKEN TO NOVOTEL HOTEL WHICH IS WHERE I AM NOW BLOGGING AND MSNING AND FACEBOOKING WITH THE PRETTY FAST FREE INTERNET AND WISHING I COULD HAVE A SHOWER NOW BECAUSE MY HAIR IS DISGUSTINGLY GROSS AND EXCITED FOR TOMORROW MORNING COS I SHALL SWIM FOR A BIT AND HAVE A BREAKFAST BUFFET, WHICH WILL PROBABLY BE CRAP BECAUSE I AM EXCITEDLY ANTICIPATING IT.

so in total, i've been to five countries in 2-3 days, and i've spent approximately 26 hours on a plane. fantastic.

SO YEAH, IF YOU'RE STILL READING THIS, YOU ARE ONE BORED OR AWESOME PERSON!

anyway, i'll do my best to do daily blogs....:)
although my emails and fb come first hahahahhaha =D
SO LONGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*comment and i MIGHT get you something. =D

HOLIDAYS!

okay, so, it's been ages since i last posted. unfortunately i've been busy with ... end of term projects, tests, music, more music, christmas cards, good-bye cards, parties, etc etc.
And now, it's the holidays!
yet for some reason it doens't feel very "holiday-ish" :(
but then again, we haven't really "fully" finished school. stupid speech night.
ahh well. over the past few days there's been party after party, junk food after junk food :)
and now it's procastination after procastination - PACKING EEWWW.
really, who the heck likes packing? firstly, you have to get some massive suitcase out of the cupboard, and then you have to go up and down, putting clothes and all that random crap in. and making lists A;SDKF;ALSKDJFPOAWIETHA;SLJ
it's so tiring - last time i checked i took a few hours. or maybe this year i won't give a crap and just chuck everything in....but i think the main reason as to why i don't want to pack is because i have no clothes.
no clothes for toronto, where it's negative something degrees and i'll get hypothermia or some weird sickness due to my crap immune system :( :(
and i literally have no warm clothes. maybe that's why i get sick in winter....=D
but don't worry, if i have internet, i'll be posting daily [hopefully] updates on what i've been doing! don't be surprised if you see a post where i'm droning and laming on about my sickness XD
anyway, i should really pack now.
too bad i started making a list. WOULD THAT BE CONSIDERED A FORM OF PROCASTINATION? :)
if you're reading this, then you are one awesome cool person to visit this blog. or maybe you're just really bored. probably bored.

happy 4th bday cino!!!

(i'll just make it look like i've written a lot and repeat the title)
HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY CINO!!!

cino: male greyhound, brown, named after "cappucino", likes to eat and is a fatty. oh and he's really unintelligent, which is so irritating at times. but that's another story.

anyhow, i remember when it was anzac day, we bought anzac biscuits...or got given them? can't remember, anyway, i was feeding them to cino, and he ate it rather enthusiastically. but then again, cino eats pretty much anything enthusiastically. so i gave it to espresso. who also ate it rather enthusiastically!!!! so then it was decided then that my doggies like anzac biscuits.

and THEN, i recalled watching an episode the friday before on bhg where fast ed made an anzac day cake!!!
so, my clever clever mind went dingdingdingding I'LL MAKE CINO AND ESPRESSO THIS CAKE!

so yeahh this has been planned since like april...lmao

costco.

yeahhh costco. that american brand. that humongous warehouse in docklands that has weird architecture. the one with ginormous lifts. the one with stuff you buy in bulk, meaning when you bring vegetables home THEY'RE IN AT LEAST 1KG PACAKAGES =="

so yes, my father, as per usual on a weekend, went to costco and came back with kilos of vegetables. normally i don't mind, but today he bought a 1kg box of spinach leaves. now, spinach leaves are very light, meaning there's going to be a lot of them to make it 1kg. meaning the box is rather big. wait, rather big? no. VERY BIG. so big it takes like half the space on the shelf in the fridge.

anyway, i didn't spend much time wtfing at the massive size (but wtfing as to what we were going to do with hundreds of leaves) and i decided....SPINACH AND PINE NUT MUFFINS NOMOMOMOMOM.
so yup, i made them muffins. but i added pumpkin cos i like pumpkin (no sht lol) and cheeese too!!!!

if you want the recipe then ask me lol :)

IF YOU DON'T LIKE LONG BORING BLOGS LIKE MICHELLE YOU SHOULD JUST READ THIS AND CLOSE THE PAGE AND CONTINUE WITH YOUR INTERESTING LIFE :)

random fact: lots of people would turn gay for michelle's HAIRLESS legs. including me. of course.

First post 13/11/09 :)

First post. yay?
hahahaha......I bet in a couple of years [if i'm still blogging..probs? if i do happen to read this then HELLO FUTURE LAURA!] I'll think "man...i was so very retarded in year 8." and you know what? I most definitely agree.

So, what to blog? How about I bore you with a description of my day :)
So, woke up at 6 30 for swimming. Couldn't find school socks, so decided to be gay and bring sport socks to wear at school.
7 00. Swimming training - my first circuit training, and according to my lovely mermaid friend it's SUPPOSED TO BE FUN. I guess it was, since I was in the loser group and we had no idea what we were doing =D
8 15. Mighty Soft Raisin Bread is quite nice!!!! It was really soft, probs cos the people got it today and normally when my mother buys it I eat it like 3 days after and for some reason it's always toasted o_O
8 35. Was my usual un co self and tripped down the quad and rolled my ankle. about time. (my shoes were not on properly and I was carrying so much crap)
8 37. Pissed Mrs. O off sooo bad. 1 - I was late to chapel. 2 - I had no socks on. 3 - I was being a "rebel" and wearing nail polish. yeah riight....
The rest of the day was normal gay school, but in math i was severly disappointed because we didn't get our test results back DAMN YOU MR. STEWART DAMN YOU.
We tried to be rebel [again, yes, my year level is so rebellious :P] by complaining about getting our test results.
Did we score?
Hell no. It was epic fail. Mr. Stewart just yelled and freaked us out and threatened to give it back to us on FRIDAY :O :O
Afterschool...took Grace home and we fbed for a while. She was being her usual silly self and started stalking some poor guy and spamming him on fb.
Then we went to shoppo [goodness isn't this interesting?] and we went high on boost and she slapped me and i slapped her back and people were wtfing at us and then we bought a present and then we went home the end good bye. :)

Anyway, I'm just wondering. It's term 4, and reports are due pretty soon, yet we don't seem to be bombarded with millions of tests and assignments like in Term 2 and Term 3 o_O
Then again, that's a good thing...right? hahahaha

if you've gotten to this part, I really have to congratulate you.
1. you are incredibly bored and only reading this for your own sake
2. I told you to. But you don't want to.
3. I told you to. And you actually want to [what are you on, drugs? haha]
4. YOU ACTUALLY FIND THIS INTERESTING :O :O :O :O :O :O :O

WHY IS THERE NOBODY ONLINE ON FRIDAY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
